Sensory Sea Animal Rescue

Warning! Not for children under 3 years. Adult supervision required. Follow approved procedures.

Materials

· 3 TSP Gelatin

· 1 Cup Cold Water

· 3 Cups Hot Water

· ½ Drop Blue Food Coloring

· 5 Flat Marble Rocks

· 5 Sea Animals

· 5 Pom Poms

· Plastic Tweezers

Procedure

1. In a sensory tray or small heat-proof container, pour in 1 cup of cold water and mix packet of gelatin powder until dissolved.

2. Have an adult pour in hot water and ½ drop blue food coloring. Stir for one minute.

3. Allow mixture to cool slightly before adding animals, rocks and pom poms.

4. Refrigerate the play tray for 4 hours or until gelatin has firmed up.

5. PLAY! Dig in with your hands and or tongs to rescue all animals and objects!
