Join PBS Western Reserve and OH WOW! (15 Central Square, Youngstown, Ohio 44503) as we build kites, hear from scientists and more as we focus on Ben Franklin, the scientist and inventor. This family event showcases Franklin’s observations and experiments about electrical properties of lightning that led to the lightning rod and scientific terms such as positive and negative charges and even the electrical battery. Ben Franklin is the subject of an upcoming Ken Burns documentary airing on April 4th on PBS Western Reserve.

Join PBS Western Reserve and OH WOW! The Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology. (15 Central Square, Youngstown, Ohio 44503) as we learn to make and fly paper airplanes, hear from inventors and more as we focus on Ben Franklin, the scientist and inventor. This family event looks at connecting flying kites to air travel. Ben Franklin is the subject of an upcoming Ken Burns documentary airing on April 4th on PBS Western Reserve.
