Couch Coding @ Hubbard Public Library

A weekly program for ages 45+ that prefer  simple experiments and completed assignments instead of long term Learning Experiences.  Leave your session each day knowing how to do something new.  These simple experiments won’t tax your patience or your pennies.  Join us weekly on Mondays at 10 am. It’s called couch coding to imply that it’s simple and doesn’t require as much effort or knowledge s programming in a new language.

This weekly Learning Experience features programming from Code Academy and includes lessons in Python and website building.  A Learning Experience differs from a traditional class in the respect that all learning will take place as a group exploring new concepts.  These sessions will be offered weekly to ages 14 through adult on Tuesdays, 10am -noon and Thursdays, 4pm-6pm.

Trekkie to Techie Trivia- Adult Only Event @ The Confluence

The Young Professionals of Lawrence County invite all Trekkies, Techies and STEM trivia buffs out for a night of brain busters and entertainment at The Confluence in downtown New Castle, PA. Teams and individuals can enter at the door for the three-round trivia event.  Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place, and there will also be prizes for nerdiest t-shirt and team name.  This event is for ages 21 and over and is BYOB.  No cost to enter. Limited menu will be provided.
